Run the whole workshop from one screen.
Bookings, work orders, parts, invoices, inspections and the customer conversations that tie them together. One system, one set of numbers, no re-typing between modules.
Migration from MechanicDesk included. Your data exports whenever you want it.
Why workshops move
Intuitive. Complete. Honest about what is live.
Most workshop software is a pile of modules that agree with each other overnight, if at all. This one writes the job, the part and the invoice as the same act.
One system, not six
Bookings, work orders, parts, invoices, inspections and customer messages share one database. Nothing is re-typed between them and no nightly sync decides what is true.
Built for the bay
Screens a technician can use with gloves on, and a customer link they can open on a phone. The front desk and the hoist see the same job, at the same time.
Your data stays yours
Every list exports to CSV. Your customers, your vehicles and your service history are not held hostage by a subscription, and migration in from your current system is part of onboarding.
Suitable for
Any workshop with a queue and a parts shelf
The same records work whether the vehicle arrives at your door or you drive to it.
Auto service centre
Fixed bays, a front desk and a queue of services, diagnostics and tyres.
Mobile mechanic
One van, no counter and jobs that start at a customer's driveway.
Marine service
Seasonal work, long parts lead times and boats that need their own history.
Heavy machinery
Hour meters instead of odometers, scheduled servicing and parts by the kilogram.
Tyres and parts
Fast counter sales alongside booked fitting work and stock that moves daily.
Proven in a real workshop
No invented customer quotes on this page
RattleGun is in daily use at a working mobile mechanic business. These are the numbers from getting that workshop live, not a logo wall.
Features
Everything the day needs, in the order it happens
Each of these is a working screen in the product, not a roadmap item with a marketing page in front of it.
Booking diary
A diary built around bays, not around a spreadsheet. Bookings become jobs without re-typing the customer.

Questions
The things owners ask first
Do I have to leave my current system to try this?
No. A pilot runs alongside what you use today. We import customers, vehicles, stock and history from a MechanicDesk export, and you decide when the old system stops being the source of truth.
How long does a migration take?
The import itself is quick because it runs from your export, not from screenshots. The part that takes judgement is deciding what to bring across, particularly stock values and old invoices, so we do that with you before the load.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The screens a technician needs, the diary, the job, the inspection and the timesheet, are built for a phone first. The front desk screens work on a phone as well, they are just less comfortable than a screen.
What happens to my data if I stop?
You export it. Every list in the product has a CSV export, scoped to your workshop, and there is no export fee or negotiation.
Do you support multiple sites?
Each workshop is a separate tenancy with its own records and numbering. Multiple sites are a configuration and pricing conversation rather than a different product.
How is the accounting integration connected?
Xero connects with OAuth and pushes invoices from the product, with the customer PDF attached. MYOB and the supplier ordering networks are in the roadmap, and we say which is live rather than listing a logo and hoping nobody checks.
Bring your current system and a real week of work
We will import your customers, vehicles, stock and history, then run your next week beside what you use now. You decide when to switch.
